Tropical Leaves
Purchasing/Licensing Info:

Should you wish to go ahead and take home any of our animals there is a process to follow due to various states regulations.

The first thing to do will check with your states licensing regulations if you can keep the species on your license level or at all.

All states have a different licensing process and species that can be kept.

Please see our resources page for relevant states permit links.

If freight is required we will require a few details to get a quote and advise pricing.

Should the pricing be agreed on and purchase to go ahead we will supply a link with our license and bank details as well as a form for you to input all the details we would require for freight and movement advise on our end.

,No animals will be moved prior to full payment.

Payment is made by bank transfer unless a face to face pickup has been arranged.

Import permits for your state will have to be filled out by you according to your state requirements.

Once the details are exchanged we are free to organise dates and times for freight.

Please note, even if you are local we will not allow pickups from our home address for various reasons.

We can arrange a place and time for meetings.

Note regarding freight and payment:

We will not book freight until payment is made, if we miss a booking window because of payment new dates will need to be arranged.

Freight info:

Monsoon Monitors can ship your animals to most major airports in Australia.

We ship our animals in strong plastic boxes with plenty of ventilation and padding around a sealed material bag.

Our preferred booking agent is Tail Travel who will use Virgin or Qantas freight.

Freight is a pretty straight forward affair. However it is at the buyers expense.

If your require a shipping quote please tell us of your closest airport and we will go off for a quote and advise once received.

If accepted we will need details (full name, phone number, email, location) to book and organise a preferred date for shipping.

(A point of note, it typically take overnight to get a quote from our travel agent and they require bookings to be made 48hrs prior to a ship date)

For most capital cities the day of travel is easily organised but some regional airports may have a more limited selection of travel dates.

Once booked with the freight company you will receive via email details of the flight including times, flight number and most importantly your AWB# (Air Way Bill).

All you need to do after that is go to the freight depot for either Virgin or Qantas at your selected airport on the arranged date and landing time.
Note, it usually takes anywhere form 30-45 minutes for the animals to be unloaded and transported to the freight terminal after landing...so don’t stress.

You will often need to give your name and AWB number at the desk, and some time provide ID.

That’s it. You can check the animals in your car or at home and please let us know they are safe.

I know it exciting but more than once people have lost new animals somewhere in the car upon arrival so be careful.
